Add a Siri Shortcut to open Merlin voice chat with just your voice
1Open Shortcuts App
Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. If you don't have it, download it free from the App Store.
📱Get Shortcuts App2Create New Shortcut
Tap the + button to create a new shortcut, then:
- Tap "Add Action"
- Search for "Open URL" and select it
- Paste this URL:
https://merlintheai.com?voice=13Name & Configure
Name your shortcut something Siri can recognize:
- ✓"Merlin" - Say "Hey Siri, Merlin"
- ✓"Talk to Merlin" - Say "Hey Siri, Talk to Merlin"
- ✓"Ask Merlin" - Say "Hey Siri, Ask Merlin"
💡 Tip: Tap the shortcut name at the top to rename it and add a custom icon
4Test It Out!
Now just say:
"Hey Siri, Merlin"
Merlin will open and start voice chat automatically! 🎉
📲Bonus: Add to Home Screen
Want quick one-tap access? Add Merlin to your home screen:
- Open merlintheai.com in Safari
- Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
- Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Name it "Merlin" and tap Add

When you're on merlintheai.com, you can also enable voice wake detection directly on the website!
- Go to Settings (⚙️ icon)
- Under Preferences, toggle on "Hey Merlin" Voice Activation
- Now just say "Hey Merlin" while the website is open!
